We Exist To Serve Families

Vital Connections of the Midlands (Early Head Start Program) is a nonprofit early childhood education organization dedicated to supporting vulnerable families and young children across the Midlands. Through family-centered services, we work alongside families facing challenges such as poverty, substance use, homelessness, and risks related to child abuse and neglect, with priority given to children in foster care and families experiencing housing instability.

As an Early Head Start (EHS) program, Vital Connections provides high-quality early learning and care for pregnant mothers, infants, and toddlers from birth to age three. Our programs are designed to nurture healthy child development, strengthen families, and create pathways toward long-term stability and self-sufficiency.

Vital Connections of the Midlands

Our vision is to break the cycle of poverty in at-risk communities.

Our programs are designed to support healthy child development while empowering parents with the tools, resources, and support needed to thrive financially, educationally, and emotionally. We are committed to helping families build stability, strengthen relationships, and move toward long-term self-sufficiency within their communities.

At the heart of our work is a compassionate, family-centered approach rooted in respect, dignity, and grace. We serve every child and family with empathy, without judgment, and with a deep commitment to honoring their unique experiences and potential.
