We exist
to serve families
Vital Connections of The Midlands, Inc. is a non-profit early care and education program whose focus is providing family centered services for at-risk families and young children who are struggling with poverty, substance use and are at-risk for child abuse and neglect. Priority is given to families who are experiencing homelessness and children in foster care. As an Early Head Start (EHS) program, Vital Connections of the Midlands provides high quality care in a family-centered setting servicing low-income pregnant mothers and families with children until the age of 3.
Our vision is to break the cycle of poverty in at-risk communities.
Our programs are designed to promote the development of the child, and to enable their parents to fulfill their roles as parents (financially, educationally, and emotionally) and to move toward self-sufficiency within their community. We approach the work that we do with a value oriented, non-judgmental philosophy that treats every member of our community with respect, dignity and grace.
