Shakedra Brown has been with VCM since 2015 and has an associate degree in Child Development with plans to further her career as an early childhood professional. She has three children who inspire her to continue to love what she does–caring for and educating children. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, and giving back to her community by volunteering and donating.
Quantasha Drayton has been with VCM since 2015 and has a master’s degree in Human and Social Services from Walden University. She has a bachelor’s degree in Family Consumer Sciences Business/Family Development from South Carolina State University. She is originally from Orangeburg, and in her free time, she loves to shop, go fishing, listen to music, and spend time with family and friends. Quantasha says, “Children are my passion. I really enjoy working with them and helping parents understand their child’s developmental growth.”
Kaaron Fassett has been with VCM since 2015, and has a bachelor’s degree in Child and Family Services with a minor in Criminal Justice. She started with Children’s Garden as a substitute teacher but has switched roles as a staff support specialist (CACFP). She is currently working on her master’s degree in Criminology. Kaaron says, “Teaching is an intense, challenging endeavor and yet it has been one of the most rewarding things I have experienced.”
Christy Rhodes has been with VCM since 2013 and has an associates and bachelor’s degrees in Early Childhood Education and Family Studies. She works with infants and toddlers. She enjoys spending time with her family, going to the beach, and attending Gamecock sporting events.
Shahana Sultana has been with VCM for a little more than five years, and has a master’s degree in Economics which she obtained in Bangladesh, and has an associates degree in Early Childhood Education. After immigrating from Bangladesh in 2005, she has lived in Columbia for 15 years with her husband and two daughters. She enjoys the world of childcare and is excited to provide children a fun-filled and loving environment full of play and exploration.
