Tyler D. Bailey is the founder and managing attorney at Bailey Law Firm, L.L.C., in Columbia South Carolina. In this position, Tyler manages the business operations at Bailey Law Firm, and represents its clients throughout South Carolina primarily in the areas of Personal Injury, Workers’ Compensation, Criminal Defense, and Civil Litigation. Katy Bair serves on the board of Vital Connections of the Midlands as Treasurer and is the Commercial Credit Leader for Trust, formerly BB&T. She also serves as the President of the Contemporaries board for the Columbia Museum of Art, is a Steering Committee Member for the Young Leaders Society, Affinity group of the United Way of the Midlands, and chairs the Be a Book Bunny campaign. She also volunteers with the Midlands Reading Consortium and Junior Achievement. In her spare time, Katy enjoys playing tennis, traveling, cooking, and spending time with her pets.
Charlotte was one of the founders of Vital Connections when the program was first started. She has been a long time United Way board member, both on the National Board of United Way (now United Way Worldwide) and chair of the board both in Asheville, NC and in Columbia, SC. Jennifer Berryman is a highly recognized and passionate volunteer committed to giving back to her community, whether at home or in the work place. Because Jennifer feels so deeply about the causes for which she works, public involvement comes naturally to her. Active for over 20 years in Buffalo and currently in South Carolina, Jennifer understands the nuances of volunteerism and of the needs in the areas in which she lives and works. At BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina, Jennifer is a Senior Project Assistant in the company. The skills she hones —marketing, communications, event planning, negotiating, and persuading as well as leadership and presentation—are those from which Jennifer routinely draws on in her myriad civic duties. Jennifer’s passion to make a difference in South Carolina leads her to working with BlueCross BlueShield’s Executives on the United Way of the Midlands corporate giving campaign as a Team Captain in her division and is currently was the Fundraising Coordinator on the campaign.

LaShaun Curry is a Palmetto State native born and bred in the Lowcountry before calling the Midlands home. Serving in various roles within state government since her move to Columbia, South Carolina, Ms. Curry assumed the position of Director of Training and Compliance for the South Carolina State Election Commission (SEC) in 2019. Prior to her role with the SEC, she amassed fifteen-plus (15+) years of experience in the entertainment industry culminating in her position overseeing special projects and organizational management of a production and distribution company and division of a major multinational media conglomerate for seven (7) years. Ms. Curry is also a Marriage and Family Therapist and Licensed Professional Counselor in private practice.

Lauren’s passion is creating relationships with her clients. Through strong marketing partnerships, Lauren focuses on driving overall success for her clients’ brands– with the ultimate goal to ensure patients have access to the healthcare they need.
Since joining the Omnicom network in 2002, Lauren has had the benefit of focusing on the payer channel, brand market access strategies, product launches, and value-add programs. As the SVP, Client Services Director of the Entrée Health Boston office, Lauren is responsible for overseeing the agency’s portfolio of accounts and ensuring that the highest quality of strategic thinking and work is delivered to each of our clients.
She holds a BA in Communications, with a minor in Spanish, from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Lauren and her husband Kinn live in the historic capital city of Columbia, SC.

M. Rita Metts is an Attorney and Mediator. She started the Metts Law Firm in 1996, and owns and manages a law office and support staff in Columbia, South Carolina. Her law firm, Metts Law Firm, LLC serves all of South Carolina in the areas of Social Security Disability, Veteran Disability, Personal Injury, Workers Compensation and Divorce. She was appointed as a Magistrate for Richland County in 2011, where she handles criminal and civil trials as well as bond hearings and guilty pleas.
She graduated from the University of South Carolina School of Law with a Juris Doctorate Degree in 1993. She is a member of the South Carolina Bar Association, Richland County Bar Association, Women Lawyers Association, and Black Lawyers Association.
She is originally from Newberry, South Carolina, the daughter of Jimmie R. Metts and Mildred Suber. She has two sisters who a RN and Nurse Practitioner, respectively, and 7 nieces and nephews. She loves to travel with family in and around the country. She volunteers her time with the SC Bar’s Mock Trial Competition, as well as her time and money to those less fortunate.
Lochlan Wooten has spent more than 18 years helping nonprofits connect with their communities. As the Chief Operating Officer at Riverbanks Zoo and Garden she enjoys connecting our community to wildlife and wild places. She is a native of Atlanta, Georgia and graduate of Washington and Lee University.
